[Rolex Datejust] Advice on coating to prevent allergic

Personally all I wear is gold, for several reasons, the primary reason is that I am allergic to anything but gold. Anything else that I have tried (sterling silver, stainless steel, Hypo allergenic alloy's, etc.) gives me a rash after a day or two.

I have a minor nickel allergy, it’s more like sensitivity. It comes and goes. I’m wearing a 904L Rolex now without an issue or discomfort. I find a couple of triggers: 1. When I sweat a lot while wearing the watch (e.g. bike commuting while wearing a watch) 2. When the humidity in the air drops sharply. Unfortunately, after elongated wear, a grey mark shows up on her wrist where the watch is located (which washes off with soap), and after even longer wear her skin turns red, indicating an allergic reaction. Despite 904L steel’s high nickel content, it doesn’t really leach. I recommend getting a cheap ultrasonic cleaner on Amazon and clean the bracelet (not the watch) with dawn detergent.
